Solos has introduced the AirGo Vision, a new entrant in the smart glasses market, directly challenging Meta's Ray-Ban collaboration. Priced at $299, the AirGo Vision integrates advanced AI capabilities, notably OpenAI's GPT-4o, to enhance user interaction with their environment.

Key features:

  • AI Integration: The glasses utilize GPT-4o to provide real-time information about objects, text, and surroundings. Users can ask questions like "What am I looking at?" and receive immediate answers through built-in speakers.
  • Modular Design: Addressing privacy concerns, the AirGo Vision features a swappable frame system. Users can easily switch between frames with or without a camera, maintaining smart functionalities while choosing when to enable visual recording.
  • Additional Functionalities: Beyond visual recognition, the glasses offer text translation, navigation assistance, and contextual information about the user's surroundings. They also support multiple AI models, including Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini, providing flexibility for tech-savvy users.

The AirGo Vision is available in two styles—Krypton 1 and Krypton 2—and comes in seven different color options. The glasses are constructed using TR90 thermoplastic material, ensuring durability and comfort. They are available for purchase through Solos' official website and Amazon.

The introduction of Solos' AirGo Vision signifies a notable advancement in the smart glasses sector, particularly with its emphasis on user privacy through modular design and its integration of versatile AI functionalities. This development underscores the growing importance of adaptable and user-centric wearable technology in the market.
